Financial Report – Historical Costs
Qapita allows you to record expenses from earlier reporting periods to ensure your future financial reports are accurate and fully reconciled. In this section, you can view and update year-to-date expenses for relevant awards as of a specified reporting date.
To update historical costs for a specific period:
Step 1: Select the Interval that represents your preferred reporting period:
- Yearly
- Quarterly
- Monthly
Step 2: Choose the Reporting Period Date for which you want to review or update historical costs.
Step 3: Choose one of the following options to proceed:
- Click View and Update Historical Cost to update via the user interface
- Click Update Historical Cost in bulk to upload data using Excel
Step 4:
- If you selected View and Update Historical Cost, a list of awards at the vest level will appear. Enter the appropriate values in the Historical Cost column for each item.
- If you chose Update in bulk, refer to Helpdesk : Qapita for detailed steps on how to prepare and upload your Excel file.
Step 5: After reviewing or uploading the data, click Update Historical Cost to save your changes.
