Implementation of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for Qapita Portal Login

To keep your account and equity data safe, Qapita is introducing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for all users logging in with an email ID and password. This security update will be implemented by the end of Aug’25 ,you will be prompted to set up MFA during your next login, this is a quick, one-time process that adds an important extra layer of security to your account.

This guide will walk you through each step of the MFA setup with screenshots, so you can complete it easily and without any disruptions to your access.

Who is this for? 

This update applies to all users who log in with an email and password(non-SSO). Users who log in via Single Sign-On (SSO) do not need to take any action.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Visit the Company Portal
    • Go to the portal URL you received in your user invitation email 
  2. Enter Your Login Credentials
    • Input your email ID and password.
    • Click “Login”.

 

  1. Complete Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) via Email OTP
    • An OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to your registered email ID.
    • The OTP is valid for 1 minute.
    • Retrieve the OTP from your email and enter it when prompted.

  1. Access Granted
    • After successful OTP verification, you will be logged into the company portal.

Important Notes:

  • Ensure you have access to your registered email before attempting login. Registered email is the email that is set up for your Qapita account.
  • If you do not receive the OTP within a minute, check your spam/junk folder.
  • Never share your OTP with anyone.
  • Use the “Trust this device” option only on personal devices.
  • SSO Users: As a reminder, this change does not affect users who log in via Single Sign-On.
