How to manage share classes and authorized counts

Managing share classes is a foundational step in maintaining an accurate and compliant cap table. Keeping share class details aligned with your incorporation documents ensures that securities are issued correctly and reflected accurately on Qapita.


Note:

Depending on your company setup and account configuration, you may see the term “shares” instead of “certificates” in certain areas of the Qapita platform. This reflects how ownership is recorded and does not affect your holdings or actions. 


The authorized count of shares can be found on your Certificate of Incoporation (as shown below).
